I2X Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs,CO . This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance.
Designs and plans network communications systems.
Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Conducts testing of network design.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Research vendor recommended quarterly patches for Network devices (Cisco Switch, Cisco firewall, Juniper firewall, Palo Alto firewall)
Perform quarterly network patch integration and system testing in lab environment
Update content in Gitlab for quarterly deliveries (Configurations, Licenses, IOS files)
Write and edit quarterly network installation instructions for delivery to Operations
Install quarterly network device patches in lab and Operational environments
Create, update and provide justifications for network device cyber security STIG checklists
Provide network support for Cyber Vulnerability Testing (Access, Connectivity and checklists)
Track, acquire and install firewall license files
Troubleshoot Operational and lab environments for network device outages and anomalies
Provide training for network device installations and troubleshooting tasks
Qualifications
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree with 7 years of professional experience
Sec+ Certification required
Hands-on experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure.
Experience developing network architecture, detailed network diagrams, implementation plans, and configuration documentation.
Demonstrated experience building and deploying network infrastructure from design through implementation, configuration, testing, and operational turnover.
