Nurse Practitioner

Provide primary health care services to the community, which includes health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services. Implement therapeutic interventions (including pharmacotheraputic) for chronic, stable and common conditions. Utilize and synthesize from multiple sources appropriate health assessment and differential diagnosis of client/patient status. Assess need for ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory, radiology and ultrasound diagnostic tests. Work in conjunction with the client, family and health providers to develop and implement holistic treatment, interventions and support. Be part of a diverse interdisciplinary team working in the Warman/ Martensville area. May work with teams at other primary health centres. Provide educational support for students including nursing, medicine and other disciplines.
