Occupational Safety Internship Summer 2027

In this internship, you'll gain hands-on experience and work with a mentor to learn all about Risk Control/Occupational Safety, and network with leadership at social events. You will also get opportunities to network by attending diverse social events and meeting leadership in multiple areas.  What You’ll Do As a Risk Control/Occupational Safety intern, you’ll gain hands-on safety and insurance experience. Here’s a look at what you’ll be doing: Partner with experienced safety consultants across multiple Sentry business units to learn the ropes of risk control. Conduct safety walkthroughs and facility inspections across diverse industries, including property, workers compensation, liability, auto, and others.  Prepare technical reports and develop actionable recommendations to help customers minimize safety exposures. Gain deep exposure to evaluating different lines of insurance risk, including property, workers’ compensation, liability, and auto. Team up with sales associates to consult directly with customers on the principles that keep workplaces safe. What it Takes To be considered for this position, the following criteria are necessary: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00 Expected graduation date of May 2028 Ability to work in a team atmosphere Clear MVR and background check Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience What You’ll Receive As a Sentry intern, you won’t just be shadowing.
