We are looking for an Operational Compliance Engineer to join our Property team! The role is based in our offices in Athens – Kolonos.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular visits and Health & Safety inspections across stores, offices, warehouses and company facilities, ensuring safe, functional and compliant working environments.
Support new store openings, relocations, refurbishments and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
Partner with Construction, Retail and People teams to identify risks, monitor facility condition and operational readiness, and implement preventive measures.
Monitor contractor activities during maintenance, fit-out and renovation projects.
Lead risk assessments for retail operations, logistics facilities and technical projects.
Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company standards and Greek legislation.
Deliver Health & Safety training and awareness initiatives to store and office teams.
Monitor emergency preparedness processes, fire safety measures and contractor compliance across all sites.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related field).
2-3 years of experience in Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Retail Operations, Construction or a similar environment.
Experience serving as a Safety Technician will be considered a strong asset.
Good knowledge of Greek Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
Experience in conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections and incident investigations, as well as supervising Health & Safety compliance during maintenance, fit-out and refurbishment projects
Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across Construction, Retail & People functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Fluent in Greek and good command of English.
