Operations Supervisor

Team Global Express has an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Operations Supervisor to join our Express Parcels team based in Cardiff, NSW. This is a p ermanent full-time night shift position , working Sunday night to Friday morning from 11:00pm to 7:00am. You will take a hands-on approach to leading day-to-day depot operations, coordinating the team and resources to ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently and delivers a high level of service to our customers. You will lead and support the team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service, productivity and operational performance. What you’ll do Lead and supervise the day-to-day depot operations Coordinate staffing, labour and equipment requirements Lead, coach and support employees across the operation Manage productivity, service levels and operational costs Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures Investigate service failures and lost or damaged freight and follow through on corrective actions Coordinate freight movements and linehaul activities Support the efficient loading, unloading, sorting and movement of freight Ensure compliance with safety, transport and regulatory requirements Work closely with the wider team to ensure customer service expectations are met What you’ll bring Previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or a similar operational environment Experience leading, coaching and motivating operational teams Strong communication and people management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Understanding of safety and transport compliance requirements Experience managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance Strong planning, organisation and time management skills Ability to coordinate labour and equipment based on operational requirements Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Experience within freight, parcels or transport operations will be highly regarded Licences and qualifications Current Driver’s Licence Forklift Licence will be highly regarded Dangerous Goods, HSE and Risk Reporting experience or qualifications will be advantageous Why TGE Competitive salary and superannuation Permanent full-time opportunity Career development and progression opportunities Employee benefits and discounts Supportive team environment Strong focus on safety and employee wellbeing If you are an experienced operational leader who enjoys being hands-on, leading a team and working in a busy transport environment, apply now to join Team Global Express in Cardiff.
