Department: Drainage/Depot Network consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year. About the Role: Location: Stockton Hours: Monday to Friday 50 hours per week Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a. dependant on experience. Purpose of the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Washington. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient and safe operations of our field-based engineers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the planning and coordination of engineering activities, performing site Health & Safety audits, ensuring the team is properly equipped, and maintaining a professional and safe working environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with drainage experience or a supervisory background, who is looking to develop their career further. The role will involve both field and office-based tasks, ensuring that operations run smoothly, while also being part of the operational team when needed. Key Responsibilities: Assist with planning and coordinating the activities of the engineering team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard. Being the first point of contact for the operatives and supporting them with problem solving for any drainage related issues. Customer/Client interaction- providing timescales and being a contact to answer any questions or queries they may have Perform Health & Safety audits on-site and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Ensure that the team has the necessary equipment, information, and resources to complete work efficiently and safely. Assisting in managing the company’s vehicles and plant within the depot, ensuring they are properly calibrated, serviced, and maintained. Maintain the fleet and equipment in a condition that reflects the company’s professional image and commitment to Health & Safety. Oversee the efficient scheduling of work to maximise productivity and asset usage. Key Requirements: Skills & Experience: Previous experience in drainage or utilities is preferred, but not essential.
