Position
Under the direction of the Director, Accounting, the Senior Accountant performs general accounting and finance duties, in accordance with company and established accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Research and assess Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) implications. Support implementation of updated standards.
Prepare technical memos that document accounting issues in a clear, concise manner.
Review and reconcile subsidiary accounts; resolving discrepancies.
Maintain general ledger.
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedule.
Manage day-to-day activities in treasury functions and cash planning.
Analyze financial data and manage financial statement preparation and budget reports.
Prepare monthly budget to actual reporting.
Prepare bi-weekly payroll.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Assist with annual audits and tax returns.
Assist with any implementation, managing, and monitoring of ERP system.
Early Development
• Develop a strong understanding of the ERP system, chart of accounts, financial reporting structure, and key accounting processes.• Develop ownership of the month-end assigned duties with the goal of independently completing responsibilities accurately and within established close deadlines. • Identify process improvement opportunities within your assigned accounting processes and recommend efficiencies or opportunities for automation. • Develop ownership of the fixed asset schedule, including additions, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations and supporting documentation.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
