Location: Kwajalein   Job Summary: The Dispatcher is responsible for the daily operation of the Security/Police Desk located at the Kwajalein Central Patrol Station and Roi-Namur Security Detachment.  The job description below is not all inclusive of the dispatcher’s duties.   Duties and Responsibilities: Staff the Security/Police desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays Maintain Daily Activity Journal Maintain Military Police Journal Dispatch Security and DACP Answer 911 calls Dispatch medical and fire personnel Monitor IDS Alarm System Monitor C-sUAS station when installed and active Dispatch appropriate personnel to locations of IDS alarm activations Complete detailed incident reports when required   Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen Must be 21 years of age or older Must have an active U.S. Secret Clearance Possess 911 Communications Certification or ability to obtain Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification Must have completed a 40-hour basic telecommunicator program such as those approved by Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APOC), International Academy of Emergency Dispatchers (IAED), Department of Defense (DOD), PowerPhone or states equivalent Ability to pass a medical screening include drug test   Preferred Qualifications: Prior Police/EMS Dispatch, military or civilian, experience is preferred Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:   Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
