As a Payroll Administrator at Ledcor, you will play a central role in delivering accurate, timely payroll across multiple divisions — processing complex union and non-union payrolls, managing adjustments, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and collective agreements. Reporting to the Team Lead, Payroll, you will bring a thorough understanding of full-cycle payroll processing, strong reconciliation skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines with precision. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for employee payroll inquiries and contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts that support Ledcor's operations. Essential Responsibilities Process full-cycle payroll for salary, hourly, union, and non-union employees across multiple divisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures and timelines Validate time and attendance data, earnings, deductions, taxable benefits, and retroactive adjustments to ensure all payroll inputs are complete and accurate prior to processing Calculate and process manual payments, off-cycle runs, adjustments, reversals, and retros in accordance with legislative requirements and collective agreements Ensure accurate calculation of vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, and final pay for departing employees in compliance with applicable employment standards Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy, resolving issues efficiently and escalating complex matters as needed Process off-cycle payments including severance, bonuses, commissions, and other special payments, ensuring proper documentation and authorization Perform account reconciliations and prepare statutory, third-party, and benefit remittances on a quarterly basis, supporting year-end tax slip preparation Identify and contribute to payroll process improvement initiatives, maintaining up-to-date procedures and supporting a culture of continuous improvement   Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience processing high-volume payroll in a unionized environment, with demonstrated knowledge of collective agreements and legislative requirements Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred; a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is considered a strong asset Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, statutory regulations, tax remittances, and year-end processes including T4 preparation Hands-on experience with HCM or payroll systems; experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is a significant asset Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reconciliation, reporting, and data validation purposes Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability…
