Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Discovery and Requirements
Actively participate in payroll discovery and requirements workshops.
Document current processes and translate business needs into clear, testable functional requirements.
Map end-to-end processes and perform fit-gap analysis, identifying risks, dependencies, controls, and solution options.
2. Solution Design and Validation
Represent Payroll in solution-design discussions and confirm that proposed processes and configurations meet business and control requirements.
Support data mapping, migration, validation, reconciliations, and integration requirements across HR, time, benefits, Finance, and banking.
3. Testing and Delivery
Develop and review test scenarios, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, end-to-end testing, payroll parallel runs, defect triage, retesting, and sign-off readiness.
4. Governance, Cutover, and Stabilization
Coordinate functional actions, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and deliverables across internal teams and external partners.
Support cutover planning, operational readiness, go-live, hypercare, stabilization, documentation, and knowledge transfer to payroll operations
Requirements
Experience as a Payroll Functional Consultant, Payroll Business Analyst, Payroll subject-matter expert, or in a comparable transformation role.
Strong practical understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, data, integrations, controls, and reconciliations.
Experience supporting payroll implementations, transformation initiatives, system migrations, or vendor transitions.
Demonstrated capability in requirements gathering, process mapping, fit-gap analysis, testing, and defect management.
Ability to translate payroll needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, project-coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across Payroll, HR/P&O, Finance, IT, project teams, and external partners.
