Personnel Security Analyst Position Summary: Position Description: Personnel Security Analyst Location: Washington, DC Work Posture: On-site Travel: Occasional Deployment: No Drug screening: Yes Security Clearance: Citizenship: Secret Must be a U.S. Citizen Education High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a security-related or analytical discipline preferred. Required Experience Minimum 3 years of experience providing personnel vetting (PV) support to a federal department/agency (processing PV documents for investigations, adjudications, or continuous vetting alerts) OR providing adjudication support (national security, fitness, suitability, or credentialing). Preferred Experience Certificate of adjudication training issued by a government department or agency (e.g., OPM Fundamentals for Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators, DoD Adjudicator Professional Certification, USCG Fundamentals of National Security Adjudication Course, or equivalent). Salary: Commensurate with experience The final base salary offered within this range will depend on a variety of objective factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, specialized technical skills, education, certifications, and geographic work location. Our internal pay structure is designed to allow placement across the range based on candidate qualifications relative to internal peer equity. In addition to base salary, candidates possessing an active, verifiable security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI) may be eligible for a government clearance differential or specialized premium pay. Final compensation placement is determined by clearance level, polygraph status, and contract-specific customer requirements. This position is eligible for performance bonuses, sign-on incentives, and comprehensive benefits. The advertised range represents the good-faith anticipated hiring range for this specific vacancy and does not represent SANCORP’s complete internal compensation band, proposed contract labor rate, billing rate, or total cost to the Government. Responsibilities: SANCORP is seeking a Personnel Security Analyst to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Office of Security Policy and Management (CG-SPM) security program activities. The following are examples of responsibilities: Perform in-depth analysis and evaluation of security files, background investigation packages, and source documents to assess loyalty, trustworthiness, character traits, and conduct. Process personnel vetting (PV) documents for background investigations, adjudications, continuous vetting (CV) alerts, and suitability/fitness decisions. Conduct specialized adjudicative reviews by weighing an individual's whole character and history to evaluate risk to Federal service and national security.
