Platform Engineer - Datacenter Infrastructure

We are looking for passionate individuals who are ready to help us build and scale resilient infrastructure that supports our global operations and innovative product suite.  The Role  We are seeking a Platform Engineer to modernize and automate our virtual machine and core infrastructure services that form the backbone of our data center and hybrid-cloud environments. This role is multifaceted, focused on increasing the reliability, scalability, and security of foundational services such as DNS, PKI, logging, and observability through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices, as well as scaling and executing on our VM and hypervisor management ecosystems. You will also be responsible for automating the deployment and lifecycle management of critical COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) management tools. The ideal candidate has a strong background in traditional data center technologies and system engineering, combined with a passion for modern automation and platform engineering principles.  Key Responsibilities  Support hypervisor operations across a global datacenter footprint and provide VM management services, such as patching, backups, and monitoring through automation and at scale.   Create and manage reusable Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled deployments of all core services.  Apply GitOps principles for managing all infrastructure and service configurations, using pull requests for changes and enabling automated reconciliation.  Lead the architecture, automation, and operational management of core infrastructure services, including enterprise DNS, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and NTP.  Design, build, and maintain a centralized log aggregation to feed observability platform for infrastructure and applications.  Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, validation, and promotion of changes to core service configurations and infrastructure.  Embed security and compliance into the entire sevice lifecycle, including secret management, certificate lifecycle automation, and vulnerability scanning.  Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for all managed services, and apply SRE principles to improve their reliability and…
