 What You'll Do Architect, build, and improve enterprise reporting solutions, including dashboards, semantic models, data transformations, embedded analytics, and reusable reporting assets. Design scalable Power BI semantic layers using dimensional modeling, governed metrics, reusable business logic, and performance-conscious modeling practices. Build and optimize reporting logic using SQL, DAX, Power Query, views, stored procedures, and cloud-based data-processing patterns. Work across Azure, Azure Synapse, Power BI, AWS, and related data platforms to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable reporting solutions. Establish reporting engineering standards for source control, testing, documentation, release management, monitoring, and production readiness. Improve reporting reliability through validation checks, source-to-report reconciliation, refresh monitoring, regression testing, and operational runbooks. Partner across Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, Security, QA, and business teams to translate reporting needs into scalable analytics solutions. Mentor engineers and analysts by sharing patterns, reviewing designs, creating reference implementations, and helping teams adopt consistent reporting practices. What You'll Need 8+ years of experience architecting and delivering reporting, BI, analytics engineering, enterprise data, or cloud data platform solutions. Deep hands-on experience with Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, refresh management, security, and performance optimization. Experience working with Azure, Azure Synapse, Power BI, AWS, and modern cloud-based data environments. Strong SQL skills, including experience designing and optimizing complex queries, views, stored procedures, transformations, and reconciliation logic. Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, semantic-layer design, data warehousing, lakehouse concepts, and governed business metrics.
