What you get to do
Develop single line and three line diagrams for new and existing systems
Design and lay out electrical panels
Perform electrical load calculations and size electrical equipment, and write equipment specifications
Perform cable sizing, routing design, and calculations, and write cable specifications
Design grounding systems
Design safety systems, including emergency stop (E-STOP) circuits
Generate bills of materials to support procurement and fabrication
Partner closely with mechanical, process, and controls engineers to integrate electrical design across the full system
What you bring to AIRCO
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
10 years of experience in electrical design and panel layout for machine building applications (OEMs)
Hands-on experience designing safety systems, including E-STOP circuits
Solid understanding of control and instrumentation engineering fundamentals
Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent electrical design software
Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment where priorities shift and you own the outcome
Strong commitment to personal and process safety
Ability to work onsite in New Britain, PA at least three days per week
Bonus points:
Chemical industry and/or hazardous environment experience
Understanding of state and federal code selection and regulations
Plant troubleshooting or maintenance experience
