Summary
At DSG-Canusa, a business of Mattr, the Process Engineer II plays a critical role in improving manufacturing performance, supporting production operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position combines hands-on plant-floor problem solving with process optimization and project execution to improve quality, throughput, cost performance, and overall operational effectiveness. Success in this role comes from the ability to balance day-to-day production support with longer-term process improvements while collaborating closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues, supporting line operators and supervisors, and validating tooling and process solutions in a live production environment.
Lead process improvement and development initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, improve product margins, and strengthen competitiveness.
Support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness by partnering with Product Engineering, Product Development, Product Management, and Quality teams.
Utilize data-driven problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve process capability.
Contribute to manufacturing projects through process design, documentation, analysis, and execution.
Apply CAD tools as required to support engineering and manufacturing activities.
Support the development and transfer of technical knowledge through mentoring, coaching, and collaborative training activities.
Assist Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives to promote a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
Qualifications
Required
University degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations and process engineering within a production environment.
