Department: Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Manufacturing Location: Kalundborg, Denmark Employment type: Permanent position
Your impact begins here
As a Process Engineer, you will help maintain stable production while improving the processes and systems behind the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients. You will turn production data into practical insights, support colleagues when challenges arise and contribute to improvements in productivity and simplicity.
What you’ll bring
You combine scientific knowledge with a structured approach to problem-solving. You can analyse complex information, communicate your conclusions clearly and collaborate with colleagues across different professional backgrounds.
Essential qualifications include:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in biotechnology, engineering, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field.
Knowledge of the scientific principles used in manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients.
An analytical mindset and the ability to work systematically with complex data.
Strong written and spoken English.
The ability to explain complex information clearly and help colleagues understand the purpose behind decisions.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to share knowledge and contribute to the team.
Experience from pharmaceutical manufacturing or another highly regulated industry would be useful, but is not essential. Knowledge of fermentation, data analysis, process systems or large-scale production would also be an advantage. Written and spoken Danish is useful, but not required.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
Support and monitor production processes to help maintain stable performance.
Work closely with operators and technicians to understand and resolve process-related challenges.
Apply systematic problem-solving methods when deviations or production issues occur.
Analyse production data to identify correlations, potential causes and opportunities for greater process understanding.
Develop and improve fermentation and recovery processes, process-monitoring systems and supporting workflows.
Use data and cross-functional input to quantify deviations and recommend practical process improvements.
Who you’ll work with
You will join a team of approximately 15 process engineers and scientists in Kalundborg. The team supports production and process optimisation through advanced data analysis, process monitoring and close dialogue with key stakeholders.
You will work alongside operators, technicians, scientists and other production colleagues. Together, you will translate data and scientific understanding into recommendations that support reliable manufacturing and continuous improvement. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are central to the way the team approaches production challenges.
