Under the direction of the Product Development Manager, the Product Development Apprentice will assist in coordinating key aspects of the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include assisting with market research, maintaining product documentation, supporting product launches, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers. The role also helps manage inventory for promotional items, supports sales and marketing efforts, and works with the Data & Analytics team to track product performance. This position requires strong organization and cross-functional communication skills.
Responsibilities
The Employee will:
Know and uphold established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, Department and Division objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
Assist in gathering and analyzing data on market trends, customer needs, and competitor products.
Help create and update product documentation, including user guides, specifications, and marketing materials.
Assist with the preparation and execution of product launches, including gathering information for product pitches.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain product information, lead times, and availability for promotional products.
Coordinate with Inventory and assist in monitoring inventory levels of promotional products and/or products for promotion and assist with restocking or ordering procedures.
Assist with preparing sales materials, answering customer questions, and providing support to the sales team.
Coordinate with Data & Analytics team to help track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on product performance.
Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Must provide a High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be a US citizen or resident alien.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Must be a resident of Guam for a period not less than three (3) consecutive years before entry into the program.
Mayors Verification must be submitted upon hire.
Must be able to attend a minimum of two (2) classes per semester as identified by program coordinator, while working forty (40) hours per week with IT&E.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
One year of marketing experience or product management experience is preferred, but not required.
