Role: Product Integration Quality Engineer
Department: New Product Development Location: Bengaluru, India Experience: 3+ Years
Your Team:
You'll be working with New Product Development — a group that runs on coffee and an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station), which unlock 15-minute rapid charging.
Our philosophy:
Break. Believe. Build.
Break stuff, break assumptions, break the thumb rule.
Believe in the team, the process, and through failures.
Build fast, build passionately, build to simplify.
Own it like you mean it.
What you’ll own:
We are seeking a Product Integration Quality Engineer to own end-to-end quality for our integrated powertrain products as they come together across battery, motor, and vehicle systems — from design validation through customer-facing performance and reliability.
The ideal candidate will have strong systems-level thinking, hands-on DFMEA/PFMEA experience, and the ability to trace a performance issue back through multiple interacting subsystems.
What you’ll do:
Integration Quality Ownership
Own end-to-end quality for powertrain integration across battery, motor, controller, and supporting systems
Lead DFMEA and PFMEA for integration-level builds
Define end-of-line and process checkpoints for integration testing
Performance & Failure Analysis
Analyze product performance (range, drivability, reliability) and lead RCA on performance issues
Predict and pre-empt failure modes based on integration-level risk analysis
Run preliminary RCA on customer-reported issues and escalate as needed
Service Readiness
Prepare Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) documentation to support Service diagnosis
Identify service requirements — maintenance schedules, SOP gaps — and drive them into development
Apply Design-for-Service thinking during development and feed back to design teams
Cross-functional Collaboration
Interface with battery, motor, and vehicle integration engineering teams
Represent quality at integration-stage gate reviews
What you’ll bring:
Education qualification
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
4-7 years of experience in vehicle or systems integration quality
Strong DFMEA/PFMEA and APQP process experience
Ability to analyze vehicle-level performance data and connect it to root cause
Preferred Experience (Good to Have):
Experience with EV powertrain or multi-domain systems integration
Experience in a fast-scaling startup environment
Exposure to customer-facing RCA and service SOP development
What matters to us:
Quality of work
Structured problem-solving
Dissatisfaction with mediocre work
Ability to multi-task and handle a dynamic working environment
Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
