Production Machine Operator

Job Summary
The Production Machine Operator is responsible for safely setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery used in the manufacturing of Hexagon Agility products. This position requires previous hands-on machine operating experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow machine instructions, safety procedures, process specifications, quality requirements, and other work instructions while maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set up, operate, monitor, and tear down production machinery and equipment.
Monitor machine performance and production progress and make appropriate adjustments within established procedures.
Perform work according to standard operating procedures, process specifications, and other work instructions.
Read and understand machine operating instructions, safety manuals, process specifications, and other documentation required to produce quality products.
Perform machine changeovers and basic equipment adjustments as trained and authorized.
Identify abnormal machine operation, equipment issues, or production concerns and notify the appropriate leadership.
Perform routine minor maintenance and basic troubleshooting of production equipment.
Assemble parts according to product specifications using production equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Accurately use measuring devices and gauges to verify product specifications and quality requirements.
Maintain accurate production, quality, and equipment records.
Identify potential hazards and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Encourage team member involvement in safety initiatives to reduce risk and eliminate hazards.
Notify the appropriate chain of command of quality or production issues and offer potential solutions or recommendations when appropriate.
Work closely with team members to accomplish individual and team training goals and communicate concerns as needed.
Maintain 5S standards within the assigned work area.
Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
Participate in problem-solving and small-group improvement activities.
