Position Summary:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will assist in the planning, coordinating, and directing of day-to-day production operations, including manufacturing, raw material receiving, and product loading. This position will support the Plant Manager in achieving the site’s safety, quality, and production goals.
What You’ll Do:
Daily supervision of all facility operations personnel, including planning and scheduling of work for all operators, assigning work tasks, and managing employee’s vacation and overtime.
Providing daily leadership through example, focusing on timely communication, objective feedback, clear work instructions, and coaching for continuous improvement.
Coordinating manpower with the production schedule to ensure that training goals, including safety training and manufacturing cross-training, are met.
Ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing adherence to company policies & procedures and leading by example.
Performing daily workplace inspections, ensuring health & safety practices and procedures are being followed, and that equipment and PPE are being used and in good condition, following up on actions from inspections and audits.
Working with the quality department to ensure that all quality goals are being met and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving customer manufacturing complaints.
