Position Overview This position is responsible for the development of the district's annual and multiyear transportation programs for highway improvements, roadway data collection and input, traffic studies activities, and for preliminary and construction cost estimates. Essential Functions Develops the multi-year program to improve transportation services based upon current and anticipated needs. Participates in determination of project scope and initial project cost estimating in view of needs and limited resources. Collects, reports, and maintains accurate, current, and complete physical characteristics of existing transportation facilities to achieve up-to-date information reliability for the Illinois Roadway Information System, various maps, mileage tables, and special reports. Establishes programs by category and monitors changing conditions and regulations to keep programs current. …
