About this Role
FiberTel is hiring a Project Controller for our Springville, UT location.
The Project Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and performance of the organization’s projects. This position partners closely with Project Managers, Directors, and cross-functional teams to oversee all financial aspects of active and planned projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive—someone who can translate financial data into meaningful insights that support decision‑making and drive successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
Support most aspects of accounting management
Develop, maintain, and refine project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Collaborate with managers and directors to establish financial baselines and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Experienced in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn and work in other software, like corporate systems and Foundation
Will prepare financial reports associated with project controls
Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
Participate in preparation for audits
Help in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
Prepare, examine, and/or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
2+ years Construction/Finance experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Construction, Business or related field preferred
Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
Proficiency with financial systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
Experience working in an environment that involves multiple projects
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
