Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the development and launch of automotive seating and interior products, working closely with customers and cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate engineering activities throughout the product development process, from RFQ and concept phase through SOP and launch support
Act as a key technical interface between customers, engineering teams, and other internal stakeholders
Manage project timing, deliverables, risks, and technical requirements to ensure successful project execution
Coordinate design, validation, manufacturing, and quality activities throughout development
Support technical reviews, feasibility studies, engineering changes, and problem-solving activities
Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and recovery plans to management and customers
Ensure customer requirements are translated into robust engineering solutions
Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions throughout the development cycle
Collaborate with international engineering and program teams across multiple locations
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in automotive product development, project engineering, or a similar engineering role
Experience with automotive interiors and/or seating systems
Proven knowledge of the full product development lifecycle, from RFQ through SOP and launch support
Experience working directly with OEM or Tier 1 automotive customers and cross-functional engineering teams
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. German language is an advantage.
