ABOUT THE JOB We are seeking a Project Engineer – Capital Projects to join our Engineering team in the Greater Toronto Area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to build a career in capital project management, engineering, and manufacturing infrastructure within a growing multi-site bakery organization. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering a significant annual capital investment program across multiple bakery and manufacturing locations throughout Canada. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will work on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from plant expansions and production capacity growth to major infrastructure upgrades, new equipment installations, automation, utilities, and facility modernization. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to take projects from concept through design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, business cases, and execution strategies. Manage projects through all phases, including: Concept development Feasibility and business case Engineering and design Procurement Construction and installation Commissioning and start-up Project closeout and handover Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and change orders. Provide regular project status updates to the Director of Engineering and key stakeholders.
