Job Summary Langan is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer to join its collaborative team in Arlington, VA or Washington, DC. This individual will serve a key function in providing engineering and technical analysis for complex environmental projects, as well as managing/supervising field investigations, system installations, and other environmental projects. Project areas include, but are not limited to, industrial water/wastewater sampling and treatment; soil and groundwater sampling; oversight of laboratory and pilot studies; remediation investigation, design, implementation, and monitoring; and report/ proposal preparation. Experience with per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) or chlorinated solvents is required. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage diverse projects, solve problems, and overcome challenges in returning blighted properties to re-use, while protecting the environment. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement complex remediation and treatment approaches, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, oversight of lab testing, pilot testing, and full-scale application; Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects; Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretation of findings; Ensure that data collection and laboratory analyses are completed correctly, within budget, and on time; Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines; Effectively organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents; Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients and new work for existing clients.
