Requirements
SolAmerica is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle—from planning through execution and completion—of our solar and energy storage portfolio. As a growing Independent Power Producer (IPP), we rely on this pivotal role to ensure the successful, profitable implementation of our projects.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise, and rigorous project management skills. You will be responsible for directing projects for Distributed Generation (DG) ground-mount solar. By leading a cross-functional team to meet strict budget and timeline goals, the Project Manager will maximize both the environmental and financial returns of our portfolio.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage project preconstruction including EPC bids and supervision of engineering design
Responsible for the overall delivery of the project within budget, schedule, and quality requirements; while maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
Manage project resources and allocate tasks to team members
Conduct regular project meetings to identify and address any issues or risks
Manage engineering and procurement teams to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials
Review and take ownership of critical path project schedules for construction; along with aligning with company and financing requirements
Create detailed project budgets, managing cash flow, analyzing costs vs. benefits, and ensuring the project meets financial goals set forth by Stage Gate approval process
Produce project level reporting deliverables at required intervals as set forth by management.
Assist in the negotiation of EPC contract amounts and contract terms
Oversee the installation and commissioning of solar systems by turn-key EPC, ensuring adherence to safety, health and environmental standards
Communicate project status updates, milestones, and key deliverables to internal teams, management, and financing partners
