Role: Project Mechanical Engineer

Requirements
Adherence to and promotion of company safety and quality policies
Work pack Generation – critical foundation of MSL’s snag free & on schedule module execution program
Monitoring of Fabrication and Procurement status and expediting as required to support the module population schedule
Supporting Supervisors as required, and providing any necessary technical back up, to resolve engineering queries in the field
Onsite co-ordination of MSL Subcontractors and client appointed Contractor activities eg. Insulation & cladding, structural steel, electrical containment, heat tracing, pressure testing
Weekly Progress Reporting
Work pack walkdowns to inspect quality of install, adherence to specs, slopes etc
Represent MSL at official client walkdowns
Monitor MSL Scope of Work, and identification of any potential out-of-scope work.
Notification and tracking of same with Project QS
Attend weekly progress meetings as required
Safety audits and monitoring safety performance on site
Skills Needed
knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential
Minimum 2 years in Mechanical Engineering role with strong on-site construction experience
Relevant engineering degree or trade qualification
Hold excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products
Excellent communication and reporting skills
