Here’s the Gist:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the challenging role of Quality Engineer . This role will be filled located onsite at our Wolfspeed manufacturing site in Marcy, NY . This person will be responsible for supporting all aspects of our quality management system including manufacturing quality and supplier quality for the Mohawk Valley Fab . To be successful in this role, the person will collaborate with internal teams within Quality and Operation s organizations .
The Day -to-Day:
Interface with customers quality engineers on complaints and returns. Lead problem solving with cross functional teams to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Su pport the Manufacturing Quality business processes for the IATF 16949 c ertified M arcy site including change management, non-conformance management, corrective actions, etc.
Work with fab engineers to evaluate supplier PCNs and issue vendor corrective action SCARS supporting the Supplier and Incoming Quality business process .
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders including the factory and business unit leadership.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications):
BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related degree.
Minimum 3 -5 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing
Knowledge of quality systems, semiconductor materials, and semiconductor wafer fabrication.
The ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment and to execute at both a detailed level as well as a strategic level.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices . Experience with IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO9001 strongly preferred.
Basic understanding of quality core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC) is a strong plus.
