Job Description: The purpose of your role as a QA/QC Specialist As a QA/QC Specialist, you will manage QA/QC for the regional construction team to ensure Harris QA/QC processes and procedures are adhered to. You'll ork collaboratively with internal and external teams throughout the preconstruction process to add value through design and equipment selections. The QA/QC Specialist will provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines and communications are maintained. Safety Perform site walkthroughs and inspections. Assist in site safety compliance. Ensure all safety requirements are being performed - this includes site specific safety plans, audits, tool box talks, pre-task planning and being proficient in using Industry Safe. Pre-construction Evaluate construction drawings for unique opportunities to value engineer and improve upon the mechanical systems. Partner with project management and design teams to implement solutions. Analyze equipment options and make selections that add value and support project goals. Partner with General Manager to implement preconstruction strategies that differentiate Harris and lead to increase growth/gross margin opportunities.  QA/QC Partner with QA/QC Manager to create quality control processes, forms, and systems for tracking Create QA/QC training for Project Management team and foreman Perform site visits to inspect QA/QC processes Partner with QA/QC teams from General Contractor and Subcontractors to ensure Harris quality controls procedures are being adhered to. Partner with fabrication team to ensure materials and fabrication methods align with specifications Manage multi-rack coordination of fabricated materials, including storage logistics and collaboration with other trades. Coordinate the testing and inspection activities of any independent testing and inspection agencies to ensure that all necessary testing and inspections are properly and consistently performed. Participate in all applicable inspections and tests. Also perform follow-up inspections and examinations as necessary to ensure continued compliance with the requirements of the contract documents. Work with subcontractors and suppliers so they are aware of the subcontract requirements and all project processes and procedures that have been established to ensure the required standards of quality are met. Project Management Review, process, organize, log and distribute Contract Documents (drawings, specifications, schedules, RFIs, Construction Bulletins, etc.) and shop drawings/submittals to appropriate team members (e.g. Harris project team, subcontractors, fab shop and vendors). Distribute and log all of the above activities for the team. Assist in drafting, submitting and tracking RFIs and their corresponding responses.
