Position Description: Quality Assurance Inspector
The main objective of a Quality Assurance Inspector at LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. is to ensure that products meet predefined standards and meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Duties may include measuring products compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Requirements
Primary Duties:
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Ensures all product quality specifications are met by inspecting samples from each lot for defects.
Communicate with employees to ensure that job functions are carried out with respect to quality.
Train and observe employees while using measuring equipment, ensuring such equipment is in good condition, calibrated and is being used properly.
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; rejecting unacceptable materials.
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; communicating rejection issues per company procedures.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications.
Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejection documents as required. When products pass inspection, inspectors sign off on the work order/inspection documents.
Inspects assemblies for completeness and accuracy; performs final checks on completed products.
Perform calibrations to the measuring equipment as per annual calibration plan.
Perform LPA (Layered Process Audits) to the production floor as programmed.
Experience & Skills:
Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, and Torque Wrenches.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
