LOCATION This position is based in Lake Charles, LA. Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensure all inspection and testing documentation is accurately completed and filed. 2. Monitor and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for construction activities. 3. Verify that required hold points, witness points, and acceptance criteria are followed in accordance with specifications. 4. Perform routine field inspections to verify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and work plans. 5. Assist in ensuring that quality requirements are implemented by subcontractors. 6. Compile comprehensive reports detailing quality performance, highlighting trends, and suggesting corrective actions and lessons learned. 7. Collaborate in the digitalization of quality records. 8. Monitor, verify and generate daily reports on the progress and performance of contractor activities. 9. Maintaining an active role in providing relevant information to continually improve procedures, Work Plans, and QC efforts. 10. Performing the off-site quality inspections at the Owners/suppliers/manufacturer’s yard/shop as needed. 11. Participating in the analysis of corrective and preventive actions and, in general, identifying and recording any incidents related to the Quality Plans and Quality Procedures. 12. Reporting quality issues associated with the construction and track deficiencies/nonconformances. 13. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills and Competencies QUALIFICATIONS At a minimum, the Quality Engineer must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study along with 3+ years of related quality experience or high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 7+ years of related quality experience. Experience working with Design-Build projects and/or the construction industry is preferred. Must possess a current and valid driver’s license. …
