Job Title: Quality Inspector (2nd & 3rd Shift)
Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA
Shift : 2nd Shift; Monday-Friday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm
3rd Shift; Monday-Friday, 10:00pm - 630am
Pay Range : $19.00 - $24.00/hr, Depending upon experience
Shift Differential: $0.75 per hour 2nd shift
$1.00 per hour 3rd shift.
Experience: 3+ years of practical in-process and final inspection of complex machined parts, preferred but nor required. Willing to train exceptional candidate.
Job Duties:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on large aluminium machined parts. ( Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, industry standards, and specifications.
Read and interpret models (Catia), Drawings, and Parts lists
Apply attention to detail to Drawings, Production Processes, Work Orders, etc
Verifies completion of Quality documents and accurate representation of product flow throughout the process
Use measuring tools such as calliper's, micrometer, height gage, and dial indicators as needed
Create NCRs as needed if parts are non-conforming.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
Experience with aerospace machining inspection, preferred
Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to work on a team as well as independently.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must be dependable and have reliable transportation to work.
Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
Must be able to read, analyse, and interpret blueprints, and general procedures.
Must be able to interpret and understand OEM specifications
Knowledge of measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, callipers, height gages, Isoscope etc.)
Detail oriented, team player, and very organized with the ability to multi-task
Comprehension of machining process
Flexible schedule to work overtime and shift work as needed
Flexible to assist other departments as needed.
