Job Summary
Our PM+CM team is currently seeking a Quality Manager for work on various rail, transit and other infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of the project’s quality program.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with CTA QA/QC Guidelines.
Coordinate and manage all quality related issues between the TYLin team, CTA, Design Consultants (DCs), and General Contractors (GCs).
Schedule and coordinate management reviews of the QMS to verify effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.
Implement and manage the system for training the TYLin staff to ensure adherence to the QAP.
Schedule and coordinate regular quality meetings for the program to review status of non-conformance reports and coordination of quality activities.
Monitor and verify GCs’ inspection activities during construction to ensure that required inspections are performed and documented as specified in the contract documents.
Monitor testing activities performed by the GCs’ independent testing companies.
Coordinate inspection activities between the Field Inspectors and GCs’ staff.
Monitor the schedule to ensure that inspection and testing activities are scheduled.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar and ten (10)+ years of quality assurance work on rail, transit, or other design-build projects.
Experience working with quality assurance functions related to transit with a focus on major elements of structural, architectural, civil, MEP and vertical conveying equipment required.
Experience managing project risk throughout all project phases is preferred.
Experience working with staff and procedures on large, complex projects.
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Experience developing, implementing, and directing the processes that result in a specific level of quality required by a Quality Program.
