We’re seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Quality Technician in New Braunfels, TX, to help maintain and improve product quality throughout the manufacturing process. In this role, you’ll inspect incoming materials, work in process, and finished products; document quality concerns; and help resolve issues before they reach our customers. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to prevent defects, improve processes, and support a zero-defect mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, Saturdays as needed. Your shift may be extended or reduced based on customer demand. Any schedule changes will be communicated during your shift. Key Responsibilities Inspection and Product Quality Perform receiving, in-process, final, and first-piece inspections according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection plans. Verify dimensions, appearance, workmanship, labeling, and packaging of components, assemblies, and finished products. Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, and other measurement equipment to evaluate product quality. Identify and communicate product or process abnormalities before nonconforming material reaches the next operation or customer. Nonconforming Material and Corrective Action Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming materials and products, maintaining accurate defect and traceability records. Support material disposition activities, including rework, use-as-is, return-to-supplier, and scrap, as directed. Monitor rework and repairs to verify compliance with approved requirements. Participate in containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and A3. Follow up through inspections and quality data to verify corrective actions are effective, and escalate significant or recurring concerns. Production and Continuous Improvement Partner with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to identify and address process-related quality concerns. Help develop and improve inspection methods and work instructions. Support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plan implementation by contributing process and defect information. Participate in Kaizen, continuous improvement activities, and audits focused on quality, waste reduction, and process stability. Promote consistent adherence to quality standards and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
