R&D Formulation Manager

VIANEX S.A. , the leading Greek pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire an R&D Formulation Manager for its state-of-the-art R&D Center, based in Patras . About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing formulation development activities for generic pharmaceutical products across different dosage forms, from laboratory-scale development through scale-up and technology transfer. Requirements Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee formulation development activities for generic pharmaceutical products across different dosage forms. Design and develop robust formulations based on QTPP, CQAs, target product characteristics and regulatory requirements . Plan, coordinate and supervise formulation development trials from laboratory scale through scale-up and technology transfer. Lead formulation optimization activities and support the optimization of manufacturing process parameters. Coordinate the preparation, review and maintenance of formulation development protocols, reports and records. Ensure that formulation development activities are conducted in accordance with applicable GMP requirements, ICH guidelines, pharmacopoeial requirements and internal procedures . Contribute to the continuous improvement of formulation development approaches, processes and laboratory practices. Coordinate multiple formulation development projects, ensuring alignment with established timelines and development objectives. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the pharmaceutical development process. Qualifications & Experience BSc or MSc Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline. 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with proven experience in a similar position. Proven experience in the development of generic pharmaceutical products and formulation optimization. Experience with different pharmaceutical dosage forms, including immediate-release, modified-release, oral solutions and ODTs . Proven experience in scale-up, process optimization and technology transfer from laboratory to manufacturing scale. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate multiple development projects within defined timelines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Good written and verbal communication skills in English .
