Regional Logistics Manager – Radar System Replacement (RSR)
Position Summary
The Regional Logistics Manager coordinates logistics support for RSR sites within an assigned region, helping ensure equipment, services, and materials are available when needed to support radar removal, installation, testing, and return to service. The manager works closely with FAA personnel, Peraton regional managers and site representatives, radar vendors, subcontractors, and local service providers to maintain site readiness and resolve logistics issues.
This position also coordinates with radar vendors to track equipment movement, confirm delivery schedules, and identify transportation or material delays that could affect site execution.
Position Location: Remote (Some travel to RSR sites may be required)
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate site logistics and readiness. Identify each site’s logistics requirements before work begins and maintain a checklist of required services, equipment, delivery dates, and responsible parties.
Help sites acquire equipment and services. Arrange dumpsters, portable toilets, forklifts, cranes, material-handling equipment, temporary storage, and other items needed for site preparation, removal, installation, and cleanup.
Coordinate purchasing and funding approvals. Obtain quotes, prepare purchase or rental requests, and work with authorized procurement and program personnel to secure approvals. Track commitments against approved site budgets.
Track vendor equipment movement. Work with vendors and transportation providers to monitor radar equipment, installation materials, replacement components, and spare parts from shipment through site receipt. Maintain visibility into shipment status, expected arrival dates, delivery changes, and receiving requirements.
Coordinate deliveries and receiving. Confirm site access, delivery windows, unloading arrangements, storage space, and availability of personnel and equipment to receive shipments. Verify delivery documentation and coordinate resolution of shortages, damage, or incorrect shipments.
