We are looking for a senior Regional Public Policy & Government Affairs Manager to lead inDrive's government relations across Central America and the Caribbean. The role covers 8 markets: Panama, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica and Nicaragua. The role is based in Panama City or Guatemala City. You will represent and advance inDrive's interests with national and local authorities, shape the regulatory environment for technology platforms in the region, and work closely with our regional leadership and external public affairs partners. Build and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulators and industry leaders across the 8 markets, with a strong focus on Panama. Design and lead the regional government relations and public affairs strategy, including objectives, OKRs, roadmaps and action plans for each market. Proactively shape regulation for ride-hailing and other tech platforms, anticipating regulatory changes and positioning inDrive early rather than only reacting to authorities. Oversee platform licensing and regulatory compliance across Ride-hailing, Couriers, Intercity, Cargo and other inDrive verticals. Identify and assess regulatory and political risks and opportunities, and build strategies to address them. Manage regulatory and political crises with clear action plans to limit business impact. Build coalitions with businesses, trade associations, NGOs and civil society organizations. Coordinate and manage external public affairs consultants and agencies in the region. Strengthen inDrive's brand and visibility with policymakers, think tanks and academic institutions. Own the regional GR budget. Advise Growth, Legal, Communications, Finance and Product teams on policy, legislative and reputational matters. 8+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs or public policy, ideally with regional (multi-country) scope in Central America and/or the Caribbean. Strong, active network with government and regulatory stakeholders in Panama, plus a solid understanding of how policy and regulation work in the other markets of the region. Private-sector public affairs experience: a proven track record designing and executing public affairs and advocacy strategies, not only ensuring compliance with authorities. Experience in technology, digital platforms or consumer industries (e.g. FMCG) is highly desirable. Experience in a tier-one multinational, in-house or as a consultant. Excellent English and Spanish, written and spoken. Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, International Affairs or a related field. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex regulation into clear language for different audiences. Comfortable in challenging or controversial debates, with strong ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
