Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a Regional Safety Manager to support multi-state energy efficiency and renewable energy construction projects. NOTE: This position is regionally based but is not limited to a fixed geographic territory. The Regional Safety Manager will provide safety leadership and support to Ameresco business units, projects, and operations throughout the United States based on business needs. Responsibilities may include support to O&M, Construction, Solar, BESS, EPC/Project Delivery, Corporate, Federal, and other business units or special assignments. Significant travel outside the employee's primary region, including travel to the Midwest, East Coast, and other locations, may be required.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analysis for assigned projects.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and adopted standards.
Develop and implement long-term strategy and short-term plans for continuous improvement of the safety, health and environmental compliance program across all aspects of the Ameresco’s Regional business operation.
Ensure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA requirements and employees are trained in proper use.
Conduct safety audits of assigned project sites ensuring work is being accomplished safely, and occupational health is not compromised.
Ensure incidents are reported, investigated, under-go comprehensive root-cause analysis, and corrective actions implemented to minimize the likelihood of repeat occurrence.
Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend pre-construction meetings as required.
Work with project supervision and management to create safety solutions to safety concerns.
Foster and maintain a positive safety culture for the project personnel.
Maintain all safety certifications as required by contracts.
Conduct monthly safety meetings for Project Staff.
Ability to travel up to 75% to support safety operations.
