Perform first aid and arrange for an ambulance when an emergency arises. Monitor the health and nutritional status of residents. Assist in the physical examination and other medical procedures. Carry out nursing procedures per instructions (e.g. tube feeding, oxygen therapy). Administer prescribed medications to residents. Assist in the orientation to help residents and their families feel assured and welcome. Partner with other medical professionals and volunteers to provide care to residents.
