This flexible part-time role serves as an important resource during vacations, leaves of absence, sick days, and other staffing gaps, ensuring residents continue to receive outstanding dining experiences and service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with food service or hospitality leadership experience who enjoys variety in their work and wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults. As a Relief Dining Supervisor, you'll help lead dining staff, maintain service excellence, and support a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and employees. Why Mennonite Village? What You'll Do Provide supervisory coverage during staff vacations, leaves of absence, sick days, and other operation needs. Support, train, and coach dining services team members. Coordinate staffing assignments and assist with daily dining operations. Monitor food quality, service standards, dining room presentation, and resident satisfaction. Receive and communicate resident dietary preferences and feedback. Maintain safe, sanitary, and welcoming dining environment. Support compliance with food safety regulations, inspections, and quality standards. Assist with special events, catering functions, and campus-wide activities as needed. Qualities That Set You Apart Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Comfort working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
