The Role The Security Solutions Architect is a senior-level member of Lumen’s Technology Architecture organization responsible for providing expert security advisory services and architecting complex cybersecurity solutions for enterprise customers. This highly visible role requires a consultative mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and deep technical expertise across multiple security domains. The ideal candidate can translate complex business and security requirements into scalable, customer-focused security solutions while partnering with sales, engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders. This individual will serve as a trusted security advisor, helping customers navigate evolving cybersecurity challenges while shaping strategic security offerings and architectures. The Main Responsibilities The Main Responsibilities Transform customer security requirements into clear, documented, and scalable security solutions and architectures. Lead security solution development for strategic initiatives, complex engagements, and high-visibility opportunities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus on technical approaches, architectures, and solution strategies. Architect, package, and position managed and professional security services while maintaining consistent messaging throughout the customer lifecycle. Develop architectural diagrams, solution designs, statements of work, presentations, business justifications, pricing support, and customer-facing security collateral. Provide thought leadership across cybersecurity domains and contribute to the development of new security services and offerings. Present security strategies and technical recommendations to executive leadership, security teams, and technical audiences. What We Look For in a Candidate Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Ten plus  years of experience as an information security professional. Experience leading complex security solutioning engagements and gathering, documenting, and tracing security requirements.
