About the Branch/Group
The Commercial Transactions group:
provides transaction advisory services and advice on whole of state negotiations and commercial transactions to the Government; and
leads the implementation and delivery of government priorities related to social, affordable and market housing.
The Commercial Transactions team provides transaction advisory services and advice on whole of State negotiations and commercial transactions. This includes identifying asset reform opportunities to optimise the State’s balance sheet management as well as overseeing post transaction governance for complex commercial transactions.
Our objective is to ensure the benefits, costs and risks are understood so that Government can make informed decisions.
The team has broad expertise in a range of disciplines including project management, economics, finance, accounting, policy development, industrial relations and law. As a result, we can quickly provide concise, considered and expert advice on complex matters.
Two Roles Available
DTF is seeking to fill two roles VPS 5 roles: one is fixed term (12 month contract) and the other is an Ongoing-Full time role.
It is anticipated that the roles will support a range of project work in the Commercial Transactions group (as required). The successful candidates will be able to apply the skills identified in the key accountabilities to support the group in providing transaction advisory services and advise on whole of State negotiations or the implementation and delivery of government priorities related to social, affordable and market housing.
Key Accountabilities
In these roles, you will:
provide policy, risk management and commercial advice on a range of issues relating to complex projects and transactions to executives, agencies and departments and Ministers;
work with specialist advisers to develop options and strategies for complex commercial transactions and negotiations;
consult and liaise with key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, including with stakeholders that have competing interests, to ensure policy making is informed, project advice is appropriate and relevant, and the…
