Job title : Senior CEI Inspector EAC Consulting, Inc. (“EAC”) is looking for its next Senior CEI Inspector to join our team at any of our locations in South Florida (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, or West Palm Beach) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform field inspection assignments and coordinate and supervise lower level inspectors. Conducts quality control material testing analysis and reporting. Conducts punch list identification and contract closeout review. Serves as an advisor and mentor to junior level project team members. JOB REQUIREMENTS : Education & Experience Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering and registered as an Engineering Intern (EI) is highly preferred. The candidate must have or be willing to obtain the additional required qualifications and certifications listed below, as a minimum, within twelve months of hire. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in bridge or roadway construction inspection. One (1) year of experience is enough if holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Qualifications CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges) CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II CTQP Pile Driving Inspection CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures) CTQP Final Estimates Level I Certifications IMSA Traffic Signal Technician I. FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT). Nuclear Radiation Safety. General requirements Valid Driver’s License. Ability to read engineering drawings and system maps. Ability to understand and follow contractor schedules. Ability to carry 40 pounds (testing equipment). Ability to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, periodic weekend and night work may be required. Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain. Ability to coordinate and supervise lower level inspectors in an efficient manner. EAC OFFERS : Competitive compensation.
