Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Service Representative with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to support refractory products and systems in steel manufacturing environments. This is a field-focused role working directly in mills to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety.
Equipment Production & Installation
Provide on-site support for refractory systems (EAF, BOF, ladles, tundish, furnaces)
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in high-temperature industrial environments
Support installation, commissioning, dry-outs, and repairs of refractory linings
Evaluate wear, failures, and process conditions; recommend improvements
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and process diagrams
Partner with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
Complete service reports and support root cause analysis (RCA)
Follow all plant safety requirements (LOTO, confined space, PPE)
Service
Support of crew leaders reg. technical problems with our machines
Organizing of spare parts, parameterization, installation and commissioning on site, if necessary
Analysis of weak points and faults and the development of improvements in order to increase durability and availability
Customer support at worldwide-located customer or via Telephone, Email, remote control etc.…
