In this role, you will work closely with our recruitment team to assess candidates applying for Senior Data Engineering positions. You will be responsible for conducting technical interviews, evaluating both practical and architectural knowledge, and providing clear hiring recommendations based on a structured assessment. Your Role at Sedona Digital We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our interview team in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will conduct technical interviews, evaluating candidates' expertise in data engineering best practices, cloud architecture, and large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing and delivering scalable data platforms and possesses a strong understanding of data engineering principles across one or more major cloud providers, such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key Responsibilities Conduct 60-minute technical interviews for Senior Data Engineer candidates. Evaluate candidates' hands-on experience across modern data platforms and cloud-based data architectures. Assess technical depth, engineering best practices, problem-solving ability, and real-world project experience. Explore candidates' previous projects through detailed technical discussions and follow-up questions. Evaluate knowledge of data engineering principles, cloud architecture, scalability, security, governance, and performance optimization. Assess candidates' understanding of data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, and modern analytics platforms. Assess communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Complete structured interview scorecards and provide hiring recommendations after each interview. Collaborate with recruiters to ensure consistent evaluation standards.
