Job Overview: The Welder will perform various welding tasks on Primoris Services Corporation projects throughout Texas, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Job Responsibilities:** * Perform welding duties using various processes (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) on different materials, primarily steel. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedure specifications (WPS). * Cut and prepare metal components for welding using various tools, including torches, grinders, and saws. * Inspect welds for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications and industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME). * Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety. * Follow all company safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE. * Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Troubleshoot welding issues and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed. * Adhere to project schedules and deadlines. Job Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or industrial settings. * Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.5) are highly preferred. * Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and flux-cored (FCAW). * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. * Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures. * Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods. * Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Willingness to travel to various project sites within Texas.
