The Role
Stratus is hiring a Sr. Civil Engineer for our Wilkesboro or Charlotte, NC office. This role will be focused on design work, document prep, specifications and cost estimates. The position will focus on projects in the residential and commercial industry, specifically on site layouts, grading and drainage, hydraulics, hydrology and some stormwater/water.
Responsibilities
Manage project design, including technical quality, people, process, cost, and schedule
Collaborate with engineering/architecture disciplines on complex projects
Supervise and/or prepare design documents, specifications, and cost estimates
Detailed design engineering and QA/QC checks
Prepare studies and reports
Site investigations and construction administration
Identify and manage client deliverables and expectations
Permitting and coordination with federal, state, and local municipalities.
Communicate with a high level of professionalism with clients, sub-consultants, and office staff
Qualifications
Required
8-15 years of engineering consulting experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
PE required
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydraflow, or equivalent hydrology software
Project experience with: Residential and commercial development, site layout, grading and drainage, hydraulics, hydrology, and stormwater/water quality ; Water and sewer, and permitting
