The successful candidate will monitor structural condition using specialised tools and data, identify deterioration issues and provide advice on maintenance, strengthening and investment priorities. The successful candidate will also manage projects, including planning, scheduling resources and overseeing delivery outcomes. They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, influence decisions, solve complex technical problems and contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and team capability development within the structural engineering function. What we’re looking for  You’re someone who:  Applies strong engineering knowledge to assess bridges and road structures, identify risks, and support safe and effective asset management. Leads bridge inspections and produces detailed, high-quality reports that inform maintenance and investment decisions. Uses critical thinking and sound judgement to solve complex problems, analyse information and make informed recommendations. Plans, coordinates and delivers projects effectively, managing priorities, resources and timelines to achieve agreed outcomes. Click   here   to access the Position Description.   Qualifications and experience  You’ll bring:  Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering, a solid understanding of road structure types and elements, and awareness of Occupational Health and Safety principles (mandatory). Experience in bridge inspection or construction, with knowledge of project management and asset management practices. A current and valid driver licence, willingness to undertake statewide travel and overnight stays, flexibility to work outside ordinary hours when required, and the ability to meet medical and safety compliance requirements (mandatory).
