Why this job is a big deal We’re seeking a hands-on, highly experienced, and technically driven individual to join our talented team as ourFirmware Equipment Engineer. In this role, you will develop robust, maintainable embedded firmware that supports reliable and on-time equipment launches. You will translate customer and system needs into clear firmware requirements, develop real-time controls and interfaces, support New Product Introduction (NPI) through the Stage-Gate process, and ensure product readiness through rigorous testing and documentation. Firmware Engineer Global. You’ll work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Product, Test, Operations, and Service teams to bring new equipment platforms from concept through successful release. What will you get to do? Develop Reliable Embedded Firmware Translate product and customer needs into clear firmware requirements, interfaces, behaviors, performance limits, and acceptance criteria. Develop embedded C/C++ firmware, drivers, communication protocols, and real-time controls for equipment platforms and product variants. Apply defensive design practices, watchdogs, and other techniques to meet required timing, safety, reliability, and performance expectations. Maintain clear, version-controlled specifications that support product design, verification, and release. Prototype, Test & Validate Accelerate equipment bring-up through prototyping, bench validation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. Instrument boards and collect reproducible test data using scopes, analyzers, and other engineering tools. Troubleshoot integration issues and reconcile test results against models, requirements, and specifications.
