Key statistics: 950+ Consultants 640+ Ph.D.s 90+ Disciplines 30+ Offices globally Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a Managing Engineer for our Metallurgical & Corrosion Engineering Practice in Chicago, IL or Warrenville, IL . In this role, you will work as part of a team to have a significant role in developing business and expanding the practice in your technical area of expertise. You will be responsible for Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities Significantly increasing Exponent's metallurgical and corrosion engineering consulting efforts, particularly in laboratory-based analysis Analyzing a wide variety of safety, performance, and reliability issues related to metallurgical and corrosion engineering using field inspections, engineering analysis and experimental testing You will have the following skills and qualifications Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline At least 5 – 10 years of related professional experience Licensure as a professional engineer (PE or P. Eng) in Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline is required. Specialized knowledge of operating a laboratory with materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, FIB, TEM, EDS, XPS, Auger, SIMS, FTIR, acoustic microscopy, X-ray) Litigation experience as a testifying expert is preferred but not required.
